Lead screws are suitable for a variety of Applications. For short strokes, due to their low production costs Lead Screws are an ideal substitute for drive belts.
In addition Lead screws are perfectly suitable as substitutes for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. The lead screw design allow low-friction acceleration as well as free positioning and operate without any secondary energy forces.
When appropriate lead screws are also ideal alternatives to trapezoidal or ball screws due to high efficiency and a convincing cost to performance ratio.
